The Wembley ST open is Sunday 19 March with the first race at 11:30. The NoR and SIs are on the Wembley Sailing Club web site - or should be soon. It will be the usual Wembley format of 3 races back to back, only 5 minutes to the race area. £15 entry still gets you free breakfast and food after the sailing. Saturday boat drop off is catered for - just get in touch. Most will know that the boat park and car park are separate. This means you pull up at the top of the road (Birchen Grove), unhitch your boat and pull it into the boat park, then drive round to the car park. The car park has a height restriction and there is very limited road side parking by the club so any larger vehicles may wish to find a sensible spot in the club boat park - just watch out for low tree branches. On arrival there is lots of space if you keep walking your boat down to the reservoir then follow the water round. Also on arrival, do go and get your FREE bacon butty and tea. Look forward to seeing everyone.

Is there any sailing on the Saturday?
Posted: 02/03/2017 20:02:23 By: Ben3767 |
I will be at the club on the Saturday (11:30 onwards) and can let early starters in to rig, have a cup of tea. We share the water with another club and they race on Saturday afternoon. I know of one previous Wembley open winner who had a Saturday practice sail though we do need to give the racers on the water priority and Wembley would not provide safety cover. Phone me (number in the MROA book) or drop a note here if you want to arrive Saturday.

Also, Mike and Jane Calvert won our century cup (trophy) last year. Are you coming back this year? If not, is there a way the trophy can find it ways home. I know Olly is coming back to retain his grip on the winners trophy.

How windy??
Very was the answer but what a fab day out!
As ever the warm Wembley welcome followed by coffee and a bacon bap, three races for some who were brave / crazy enough to cope followed by chilli and spuds and prizes for the top 6 all for £15 unbelievable!
Thanks Wembley SC and as the winning crew said see you next year.
