Hi all, hope all is well in the Merlin world. The Burghfield Silver Tiller is coming up and the plan is for all boats to be Live Tracked whilst racing, to see either how good we all are, or, what we need to go away and work on. This is being sponsored by local Burghfield Merlin sailors.
Burghfield might not be the first place in the world to try it, but live tracking/analysis could be useful (this maybe the understatement of the year). It is an experiment to see what is possible for future events.
You may have tried this before at the sailjuice series, but it will be interesting to see what stage the technology has reached.
It will be, as always, useful to know how many boats will be coming to play as there will be logistics behind the scenes beforehand. Please do enter online so we can get the admin sorted and start racing on time, you can also save yourself £5 for the pleasure.
Anyhow, it will be nice to see as many people as possible on the 7th March

Hello all keen sailors
It's looking like a good sailing day and the lake is full..!!!!
Please can we ask for your support by pre-entering, this will enable us to program the trackers before your arrival. If you don’t pre-enter there is a chance you will miss out on live tracking.

If you can’t make it, you can always watch on the link below

We are looking forward to seeing you all after a long windy winter, for a good days racing. Canteen and bar will be open and as always, afternoon tea and cake provided by the members after racing.

To all coming to Burghfield SC this Saturday. Please note that there is a max height of 2.2 metres at the entrance. Single stackers can *normally* fit under (depending on how high the mast support is) with no issues but please take care anyway. The upper part of the gate can be opened. However, we cannot leave it open for various reasons.
If anyone is bringing a double stacker – or knows someone that is that won’t have read this - please call/text me (07769 757979) and I will send you the code for the top part.
Also, if you arrive at the gate and find you cannot get under give me a call.
I hope to be at the club by 8:30am.

We have 25 teams that have already entered – if you are coming please do enter this evening to save missing out on live tracking. The lake is full to the brim. As long as you are sensible there is no need to sail with your rudder up! Shall we leave this to topic for the AGM in July and concentrate on sailing and cake? We look forward to seeing you all in the morning. Please have a safe journey. Any further questions please contact Simon Potts or Ian Sharps

We're watching the Tammy crew on the tracking. A great feature.
