And, following on from the post about Hayling, remember: There is PLENTY of water at Brightlingsea for sailing - and when you get there you will find the water is in its proper place, not falling out of the sky!

Also, once you have finished the sailing, the hose pipes are fully allowed for washing the salt (and mud?!) off.

Given an absence of children at home these days we have accomodation available if anyone want to stay?

The tent option doesn't seem so appealing this year...

How to get to Brightlingsea:
A postcode to follow: CO7 0GB.

One hour from the M25 (Junction 28). A12 till North of Colchester, onto the A120 (Signed Harwich). Next junction: A133 (Signed Clacton). First roundabout: right. Then follow the signs and twisty roads for 3 miles into Brightlingsea.

From the West: One hour from M11 Bishops Stortford along the A120.

From the East: Just sail!
