Hi Everyone.

As mentioned on the main Aspire Nationals thread, I would like to use this line to keep you all up-to-date on the evolving Social Programme.

I have just updated the Champs site:

Saturday - HD Midsummer Madness - Spinnaker presentation
Plus - Complimentary Drink at the Reception

Monday - on completion of racing - complimentary beer (whilst stocks last)

Wednesday - on completion of racing - complimentary beer (whilst stocks last)

For those avid fans of the Fancy Dress night  check out this link - Instant Redress or go to the Champs site - Links

And finally for this post - Rockets' Got Talent. If you have an overwhelming urge to display your talents (I am safe in the knowledge that Olly can't be with us this year) please let me know what amazing skills you wish to present and I will submit your bid for fame to Fran, Tim and Pippa.

Okay, as promised, social stuff here.

The Reception  - this is NOT ticketed and Jerry, Dan and Stuart are keen to see as many of us there as possible. Complimentary beer and Pimms (maybe wine - to be confirmed) plus "lots of snacks". What more could we ask.

Hog Roast and Curry Night - Under 11s half-price. Please make sure to book your tickets.

The full social programme is here Socials but we are still working on enhancements, so watch this space.

Your Welcome Pack will include full details of the final programme.

Check out this link for details of the entertainment for Winder Thursday evening.

All of our Associate sponsors are now listed on the Champs site. Their donations make a huge contribution to the week, both funding the social programme and supporting daily prizegiving.

When you see them, please give your thanks (and, if possible, your custom) to Creation Covers, Dinghytec,  English Braids, Harken, HD Sails, Magic Marine, Selden and Winder Boats.

Junior Rocketeers you need to get your Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Big Sis, Grandma or whoever to download this poster - Angel Art Face Painting

Make sure they bring you to the clubhouse between 2 and 4 on Wednesday of the Nats

Super Suzy can make you look super too.

If they are really good; Mom, Auntie, Big Sis or Grandma can have her face done too. (Uncles and Grandads are welcome to join in)

Want to be a princess, sci-fi hero, Halloween monster - whatever, Suzy can do it

Some more social news to whet your appetites:

Firstly - Daily Prizegiving is going to be fairly busy, especially on 2-race days. We have been well supported by Magic Marine, Harken, English Braids, WTF and Dinghytec.

Who are WTF? All will be revealed but this is an award specifically for crews. Crews - to be in it to win it, you must sign up for the WTF Draw at Registration.

Here are the Daily Prizes

It is with huge regret that I must announce that we will be unable to stage the Rockets Got Talent show. Rumours that Simon Cowell has threatened the MROA with legal action are completely unfounded. Sadly, auditions of the thousands of acts that have applied have shown that Rocketeers are seriously lacking in talent, taste or enthusiasm and this opportunity for them to break into a brand new career must sadly be placed on hold for some future date. You may all breathe a sigh of relief. Fran and Pippa can now concentrate their efforts on maxing out at the Crews Union!

Lastly, watch out for details of your chance to pick the brains of our fleets' finest - WWW, What Went Well, a daily clubhouse review by a selection of our top teams.

Full details of the social programme will be in your welcome pack, on notices around the club, posted on this site and in your daily, Fossil Txt.

As promised, herewith the Weekly Social Programme

A copy of this will be in your Welcome Pack - please stick it on the fridge door in your digs.

I am sure there will be changes/improvements/adjustments as we go through the week.

Please check in the Clubhouse for copies of the Daily Social Programme and listen out for your Fossil Txts for updates.
