We're heading to the Warming Pan next weekend and was wondering who else is going due to the Sunday ST at Wembley?
Yes - planning to do both days of Warming Pan - Will Henderson
Message from HRSC:
In March 2017 Hamble River Sailing Club will be hosting the 55th annual Warming Pan. Classes invited to join: Firefly, Feva, Merlin Rocket, Laser, Solo and Foxer
Entry forms are available on the club website www.hrsc.org.uk.
The club attached a pretty poster, but the file size is too large to upload!
For info the Warming Pan 2017 is NOT and never was part of the Silver Tiller.
The Silver Tiller action will be at Wembley SC on the Sunday.
Well, who said the action was at Wembley tomorrow
Today we had at the Warming Pan
Racing was very tight with places regularly changing amongst us. Navigation was to be more the decider and several in both races had to track back and like us miss counted the last lap in race one with Rich doing the same in race 2. Forecast 4 - 6+. Most racing was outside the river
The one breakage was our boom on the last lap of the last race when 2nd/3rd but we'll be back tomorrow with a rebuilt boom. Trashed the inboard end. Forgot to release serious kicker on the bear away. My call. Some great racing and a shame we did not have more, but then we worked out that all had won champs in various classes. So you'd need to qualify first ;)
Think I have converted Alex Horlock to the Merlins as another option when thinking of sailing after work
And Ben McGrane today as well
Great close racing and some (well hopefully) great full on near the limit Merlin reaching today photos to appear as we had 2 photographers out there with us
I've seen the videos on FB. You guys were racing "near" the limit, we were "on it" at Wembley!
Some would say over it!!
