Willy Warren in 12s
Well done Willy. Good score at the 12s. If it wasn't for that second discount you may have made top ten. Plus the boat seems a trifle old...
According to the boat number 2993, he was sailing Bouncer, a Joe Richards design built by Merlin Rocket sailor David Proctor. She was chined and has/had a daggerboard and at the time was incredibly quick. Shortly afterwards they banned daggerboards and grandfathered the boats that had them. Caroline and Nick Martin bought her and raced her for a number of years winning the Nationals as well. Think she used to be yellow in colour. The one to get if available is the Nigel Waller built Punkerella if one was to go classic racing.
Jo seriously 'refurbished' Bouncer for the 2007 Burton Week at Brixham where he finished 6th overall - I know this as i was able to provide the crew!!
