Arrangements are well under way for the Annual Dinner and Silver Tiller prize giving to be held at Midland S C. Tickets are now available - follow the link on the main page of this site for details and an application form. Alternatively you can apply by e-mailing me with details. Payment may be made by cheque or by bank transfer - follow the link for further information.

The final Silver Tiller event of the year will take place earlier in the day and we can promise that, however strong the wind, the seas will not be as daunting as at Parkstone.

The menu for the Annual Dinner at Midland SC will be: -

Florida cocktail
+
Roast turkey with stuffing, roast potatoes, parsley potatoes, baton carrots and garden peas
+
Meringue with fruit and cream
+
Cheese and biscuits
+
Coffee and mints

There is an alternative main course of vegetarian lasagne - when ordering tickets, please let me know if you would like this option.

Our refurbished bar will be open from the end of sailing and we're getting some special ale from a local brewery in for the evening in addition to our normal range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Bottles of wine will also be available.

Please don't leave ordering your tickets to the last minute as we need to know the numbers to cater for at an early stage. I'd like to make Sunday 20th October the last day for receipt of ticket requests. If you're not yet certain whether you're able to come, or how many will be in your party, please e-mail me to let me know.

Hi everyone!
The silver tiller dinner is just over a couple of weeks away and the tickets are selling fast! As we are just down the road from Broad Street we thought it might be a good chance for everybody to go out after the dinner.
So we can book taxis please could you let us know either before or on the night whether you are interested in coming.
Just a quick reminder that tickets need to be ordered by the 20th.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Isn't there a party at the club after the dinner?

Of course there will be some partying after the dinner but because Midland is close to houses we won't be able to party until the early hours like some clubs allow so we thought it might be nice to organise moving the party to Broad Street for those who want to.
Hope to see you there.

Dinner tickets starting to go more quickly. It should be a good evening at Midland - and when the party's over at the club you can always go on to live it up in Broad Street.

If you do intend to come to the dinner, apply for your tickets now! Only 5 days left to apply.

Yes - thanks to Mike and all at MSC for a great evening. And all the time put in organising it beforehand. And Birmingham provided a nice club for us to head on to afterwards.

I'm pretty sure there will be/is already a report. The race officer was kindly going to write one and email it onwards....

Thanks again everyone.

Some photos were sent to Fran - some of them quite good. I'll contact Abi about her photos from the Dinner and the club visit afterwards.
