I hope to see lots of you returning this year to the Cookham Open weekend and of course it will be great to see some new faces as well.
For those of you that have never been to Cookham before, it is based on a lovely stretch of the Thames west of London with great views, friendly people and pretty decent wind (for a Thames club) particularly with the current forecast direction.
Like previous years, the event will be run over the Saturday and Sunday with 3 seperate events to compete for.
On the Saturday we will have the inaugral De May Vintage Series event running over 3 races with the first starting not before 11.30.
Concurrent with the 3rd race on the Saturday, we will also be running the Guy Pearce Memorial Trophy race for which any aged boat can compete! This race will start not before 14.30.
The Sunday racing will be for the famous Cookham Shield with points counting towards the Thames Series. This is of course also open to boats of all ages and we are hoping for another great turnout. The first start will be at 11.00.
On both days, Lunch will be available as well as Tea and Cakes after racing.
The club is very easy to get to from most places being located just between the M4/M40.

Any questions, feel free to email me :-)
Hope to see you all there! Alex Jones http://www.cookhamreachsc.org/merlin.php
