Hi, has anyone got any pictures of Galactic Gnu or boats with similar setup? In particular the shroud system, we just can't move it more than about 20mm. The snodger, currently it doesn't seem to do much at all and the centreboard cleat system?

Hi Matt. I had GG until 2011 and had considerable renovation work done by Chris Martin and Phil Scot. If you can let me have your email I can give you much more detail, some of her history and quite a few photos. She was fully functioning when I sold her.

i don't think anything is broken - or missing per se.....
however as Matt said we just cannot move the shroud tension system at all, even with the jib tension and eveything let off we can only move the shrouds down by 10-20mm???

I sold sails and fitted them for Alex at Alton Water ( my Merlin 3671 I don't think he got new numbers- please can you change them) I had to sort the rig under the foredeck as the ropes went around a lot of pulleys he had removed them all then restrung it incorrectly! I had to remove the ropes make sure they were tied in the centre multi-pulley then were even both sides so it didn't run out of adjustment. He didn't have it tied and the lowers could move making the mast banana shaped when you put on any pressure from the side. It took about 2 hours to get it working with adjustment just had to let off forestay then pull back rake, or let off shrouds and pull on forestay. Don't have any pictures though!
