Looking at possibly buying this Merlin Rocket and was wondering if anyone can give me some info on it's past?

Second generation Rowsell Summer Wine. Gates of Paradise.
 
Cant say i've ever heard of it, and no record of it troubling the trophy engraver at MROA level, but a good design by a good builder that if in good order and not overly messed with or badly upgraded should still be quite fast.

If you are interested in a Summer Wine-type boat, please have a look at my advert in the For Sale section for 3402 Hot Goblin.  This boat has he Summer Wine rocker.  Hot Goblin is also updated with the latest kit (carbon raking rig etc) and has had a lot of time spent bringing her to 'just add water' condition!  

Thanks for the information Chris. Unfortunately Tim I am located in Ireland and it looks as though I would not be able to travel to the UK anytime soon to bring the boat back. 

That's a shame as Hot Goblin has been in the top 5 at the National twice and in the top 3 at the Inlands plus many other great results.
