The Ranelagh Open Meeting on Sunday 25th April is going ahead as planned. We look forward to welcoming everyone. A few key points to get you all in the mood:
The start time is 12.30. It is an upriver race between Putney and Hammersmith bridges. Always a lot of fun, we race on the last 90 minutes of the flood tide.
Parking is free on Sundays in the side streets running perpendicular and parallel to Putney Embankment. Unload trailers in front of club and then move cars into side streets. A friendly club member will be around to advise.
Entry fee is £10 which includes your entry, bacon rolls before racing and a lovely chilli con carne afterwards for both helm and crew.
Due to current RYA recommendations the clubhouse will only be available for use of the toilets and emergency use. Hopefully it won't be raining but if it is, there is some cover under the clubhouse balcony and of course in the doorways of the extensive sheds.
We really do love a merlin open meeting at Ranelagh, in September we had 31 boats and would love to reach that kind of number again. It will help a lot with the planning if people could let me know if they are intending to come along. I love a whatsapp, email or phone call. And will of course answer any questions and attempt to solve any problems that may be preventing people from attending.
Hope to see you all there,
