Topic : Help with inherited Merlin Rocket

I have inherited a Merlin Rocket and need help with the rigging any photo's showing how the mast and sheets are set out. I'm also looking for a top cover and road trailer or launching trolley, my son is very excited to learn to sail this beauty, any help would be greatly appreciated.

A sail number will help us out with how to help you :)

should be on the thwart or on the hog behind the case. Don't take the number on the sail as gospel.

The only number number I could find is 2634 and the sail dated 1980, I,ve tried to find rigging guides online but have been unsuccessful.

I'm not in a position to this week, but I'm sure someone will be along and tell you exactly what you've got.

Is it still original, or has it been updated? Updated would mean a mainsheet hoop and very inboard jib sheeting. Most boats of that era would have had a full width mainsheet track on the thwart and the jib fairleads about halfway down the side of the hull.

If it's 2634 it should be called Satisfied Dolly, a Phil Morrison designed Satisfaction built by WM Twine.

Someone might know about rigging this specific boat but in my experience there could be all manner of weird and wonderful contraptions (this is a restricted development class)... best bet, where are you based? I'm sure if there's someone nearby they would be very happy to get you to a club and give you a hand in person.

I can still remember the excitement of finding my family had acquired a boat as i am sure can many others so we would love to get you sailing and nurture that enthusiasm.
