I believe that Andy Hay made himself a hoop in carbon fibre a few years ago. Have a look in the library there might be something there

Stepx -looking at the pictures I've seen of the boat, the 'original' Chuft sailed with a traveller across the thwart - the hoop is a later addition! D

I had mine fabricated by a local metal worker for a crate of beer.
It is 950mm high, 350mm wide at the top and 450mm wide at the bottom. Made in 17/4 stainless steel 22mm tube.
