Hayling Silver Tillers 16th and 17th May
The Hayling Silver Tillers are fast approaching, and HISC are very much looking forward to the Merlins visiting the club again. On the water the event should be as well organized as ever, however off the water, to ring some changes on Saturday evening a local cycle hire company is offering an early evening tour to a local hostelry or two, ending with homemade pizza cooked in a wood fired oven at probably the best run pub on the Island, returning to HISC around sunset. Bikes will cost all of £5, rest is down to you, and there is a tandem available.
If you are interested in doing something different for the evening, let me know on [email protected] so that I can get an idea of numbers. Bikes can also be hired for the day, should shore bound travellers wish to explore the Island.
In confession, I do own the cycle hire company, but hopefully, this will be accepted as a mutually beneficial blatant offer and advert that will add to the Hayling experience and not offend the sensitivities of this forum.

Hi All, Echo John's comment above - really looking forward to welcoming friends old and new to HISC next weekend. Two days in the bay - at the MROA request there is no harbour event this year, so both days count for the sea meeting. First warning signal on Saturday 12.55, and you will need to allow at least 30 mins from floating to racing, would recommend off the beach at 12.15. There will be a briefing for those who are visiting for the first time. Any queries, please do not hesitate to ring me 07837 239958. See you Sat. GGG PS great opportunity to settle those Salcombe seedings promises of beer... Doombar at the ready! GGG

Is it two races a day?

HISC NOR says 3 races per day with registration opening at 0900 and start sequence at 1255. MROA website says 2 races per day with start at 1100 Which one is right?

I meant to further add that Graham has clarified the start time, but are we doing 3 races per day or 2?

Re "How many races per day?"
Once issued, the NOR has to prevail (re venue, dates, times, etc) – and these details cannot be changed by SI. So if we want 2 races per day there has to be an amendment to NOR...

OK, we've seen the picture son Y&Y so where is the report on what looks to have been a pretty 'full-on' event?
