Most of you will know that Upper Thames Sailing Club suffered very badly from the Thames floods of January and February 2014.
We will in the next two weeks finish the refurbishment of the Club changing rooms ready for Bourne End Week. We hope you will be impressed with them as we have also taken the opportunity to improve the facilities that we have. We need you, our visitors to drink as much as possible of our gin served from our bar not from your friendly local supermarket.
The club has been and remains in a difficult financial position - trust me I am the Treasurer!
We really need a successful Bourne End Week to help boost our coffers. Club members are working really hard to make this happen. We have got cheap camping so that you can enjoy the bar and the club's facilities! [But, it is OK to pack some gin in case we really do run out.]
See you all in just two weeks time. It will be good training for Salcombe, particularly off the water and maybe even on it!

John, these people do NOT need to prepare for the off the water part of regatta weeks, Their liver's are battle hardened after years of hard campaigning. Invest in extra gin. And some IV drips.

Thanks for helping in the bar. You did not drink us dry, but we broke a lot of records, particularly on the dark and stormies (turbo) front. Sailing looked good too!
