Warming Pan entries - arrival notes
When you arrive in Hamble drive down the cobbled high street taking care not to demolish anyone's house. At the bottom swing round to the right past the temporary traffic lights. Go straight past the entrance to the pay-and-display car park, and look out for the marshals who will direct you on how to drop your boat and deliver it to the dinghy park.
We say this every year but PLEASE PLEASE don't drive into the dinghy park unless authorised by a marshal, and, if you've got a brain, don't take a boat on a trailer into the pay and display carpark (the council don't like it!).
Once you've dropped your boat, drive up the steep hill until you see the free parking field (locally referred to as the Donkey Derby Field) on the left. Park and walk back down to rig your boat, and visit the club house for tea and bacon sandwiches. Simple!
Briefing will be just after ten am in the clubhouse. First race is scheduled for 1100 and remember it's three races back to back this year!
The rugby will be on in the clubhouse after racing with a special offer of a burger and a pint for £5.
