Topic : USA Hazardous Boat Building Project - March 2014 Update

That will be a good help Julio as Andy knows what he is talking about. It is looking excellent and as Rob says, I can wait to see it finished.

Evening Julio

Another detailed report. great to seeing it come together and the fact you have Andrew Harris coming to help you set her up and take her for a sail. Look forward to next month's update.

Again a very easy to look at record of the building of a Merlin Rocket, thank you for sharing this. It would make a good little book!?

Hi!

I just finished updating my blog. Many thanks to those who took the time to fill out the survey I sent. It was very helpful to get the opinion from experts. I now believe to be about 4 to 5 months out from finishing and launching my boat.

In March I fitted the king plank, the king posts, the aft deck beam and the side deck frame, including the stringers to reinforce the carlins.

Use the link below to visit my blog. Comments are welcome.

Good luck on your races!

Julio

Hi David, thank you. I plan to consolidate the contents of the blog in a nice format and publish it once I finish the build.

Thanks, Barnsie. I feel a lot better knowing that Andy will come down to help me get going.

Thank you, Rob. I forgot to mention this but it looks like I'll be getting help to set her up. I received an email from Andrew (Andy) Harris, a Merlin sailor for 25+ years, now living in Dallas (~3hr. drive to Austin/45min flight) and offering to come down to help me set her up when ready. It's going to be great to have him over.

Cheers!

Julio
