Topic : Anyone Selling ?

OK, now looking in a wider range from £3000-£5000. Would prefer something under 15 years old, pretty and wooden !!... anyone looking to sell? Come on, you know you want to!! Still considering 3506 / 3571.

Still think your best bet is 3571. fast boat and good value

Both 3571 and 3506 are both beautifully built Laurie boats and both would be able to hold their own against more modern boats. The Make it So design was a development from Smarty pants which was a one-off design built for Pat Blake (and he still talks today about how fast it is today). I owned the orginal Make it So last year and I can tell you that they go very well. I can also tell you for a fact, that the current owner of Smarty Pants has had it for many years (though not sailed it much recently) but it has always been well looked after and kept in a garage. I can also say that I now have a winder and every race I have competed against 3571 in this season, I have certainly not been able to shake her off easily (or get in front even...)

Not sure whether any of this helps but they are not far from each other so maybe go and take a look at both?

Rather than £3000-5000, can you stretch to 3000+5000? If so, we could do a good deal on a Winder mk 5 (3666).

Oh Chris, you are a such witty card! NO, can't stretch to £8,000 and I wouldn't give you £800 for a Winder anyway... I like my wood.
