That's right, there's no Rock'n'Roll at Hampton on the weekend of the 21st/22nd September, courtesy of the on the water judging of Chris Simon. Vintage Merlins on Saturday and the Silver Tiller jamboree on Sunday. 11am start times both days. |
I've heard Hampton know how to party ? |
Glad to hear the judges are out, eyes peeled. http://www.merlinrocket.co.uk/reports/?t5 |
I have heard rumours that maybe there might be a perkins turn up. Is this true? |
All sounds a bit hackneyed to me |
Can we pump a little please |
Curious Drinker is right Hampton do know how to party. Phil has the sailing and the booze organised and is working on the weather! I am organising the Curry. All for £12.00 you can have either: Chicken Madras (hot), Chicken Tikka Masala (medium) or Murgh Maakhani known locally as Butter Chicken (mild) with Rice, Vegetable and Naan Bread. I will be at the Club on Saturday but need to let the Indian Restaurant know our requirement by 2.30pm that afternoon. Please feel free to text, call or email me with your name and order. Food will be served between 6.30pm and 7.00pm. My number is 07834 133792. Look forward to seeing you at the weekend. |
Thames Series results now corrected, with apologies to Jon Steward who is now 10th instead of 38th! http://www.merlinrocket.co.uk/reports/?t5a |
Thank you Mags! Just to say, there are three more Thames Series meetings to go at Hampton and Tamesis (both Silver Tiller opens this year), and Ranelagh. |
The real racing starts sunday though!!! |
Indeed. With Sunday at Hampton SC being a dual Thames Series and Silver Tiller event, there's something for every type of Merlin Rocket enthusiast. |
Agreed both days shall prove to be a five event! |
But will there be any wind? |
Not a breath......but nice and sunny ! |
Hampton has its own micro climate! I believe there shall be sufficient wind! |
Looks like a nice F1-2 from the SW at the moment. It might come up a bit when the river-breeze kicks in at around 10.30. Ideal river yotting conditions! :-) |
bacon sarnies are available at the club from 9.30. I wouldn't bother looking at forecasts the Hampton on sea breeze kicks in around mid day. |
Looks like it has already started... |
Looking forward to seeing all our visitors at Hampton this weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday, the briefing will be at 10.30 am with the the first start at 11am. |
