Topic : Vintage Merlin's Whats Happening

As you are all aware there has been quite a bit of discussion on the forum about the vintage Merlin’s and new old designs etc. As a committee we have been working on this for a few weeks since the situation was bought to our attention.

As we are governed by the RYA as a class we approached them for advice on the situation we currently found ourselves in. They informed us that they had experienced similar situations in other classes and would read our rules as they stand and the postings on the forum and come back with some recommendations.

They have today replied back to us and I will be in touch with series coordinators to arrange a meeting to discuss their proposals and our requirements as a class.

I would be pleased if anyone else would be interested in coming along to help/voice their thoughts would you let me know by email (no date or venue is set yet but at a guess it will be London and as soon as possible.)
and I will confirm dates etc when we have them.

Upper Thames would be a great venue, good food, good beer, and lots of room for talking

For those who couldn't make it there, it would be nice to have a summary of the meeting on here and then minutes to follow..........

Minutes available very soon, surprisingly busy with day job today and yesterday, normal service should resume tomorrow. Minutes will be more useful than a summary.... a fair few things discussed.
