Topic : Shroud top puchase block attachment

Playing with the rig today - got the "Musketeer" system sorted - and noticed that the double block that is the fixed part of the first purchase on the shrouds kept on pulling out. So anyone out there know whether there is a nut behind the laminate or if the block is just tapped into a block of Tufnol?

I seem to recall that Steve Harling told me that there was a nut epoxied in position before the lower moulding is installed ...

Will hit the phone's tomorrow to ask Glen and Kevin, otherwise I'll clean it out fill with epoxy & fibres and re-tap the hole, although I feel that I would prefer some form of rivnut.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sorry Andy - can't answer the question about the block but I started the preparations for converting to the musketeer system today. How did you get on with the launch lines running through the original puller position rather than the more forward offset position on Shabazzle?

Seems fine, just make sure you have long enough bits of string, otherwise you will have to re-assemble the parts a second time like I will have too!!

Launch lines need to be about 7 - 8m long, with 5m of thin line on the 1:2 inside the poles.
