Just realised I do not understand the championship result.
The SIs presumably said discard 1 result and then calculate total points (A2 & Low Points).
There's no reason to change that other than not enough races completed etc?  
3652 was given redress of average points for race 3 
Her average score is thus 1.75
Total score 8.75?

As I understand it, the Protest Committee used their discretion and, as is within their remit, decided that an average score of all races sailed (i.e. including any discarded races) was route they wished to go.

a shame the sport cannot come up with a better way of dealing with it (the subject of another thread) Neither option is 'fair'
