Please note that Vintage Merlins will have a short race at 11.45 (If the weather be good) before joining the Thames series race at 12.45. Ties will be decided by places in the second race.

No - not wet and windy at all.
Quite light northerly winds and some sun - bit chilly maybe!

Dont EVER go with the BBC web weather forecast it is somewhat inaccurate at the best of times! XC is spot on.

I know, I know it's super accurate which is why yet again I have to look forward to 9-10mph with 9-10C on Sunday in the far north.  Strange isn't it that up here we look at the temperature where down south you guys look at the wind!!

I was looking at the met office link for my weather info which gives a slightly different slant.

The only reason we would not run the earlier Vintage race would be lack of wind so the race couldn't be finished before the start of the second race though it might be done with a separate later start.

As an ex-glider pilot I rely on www.xc.country.co.uk. It was design primarily for paragliders but is useful for all weather dependant sports.

XC Weather's forecast for London tomorrow is cloudy by 1.00 pm with a 12 mph south easterly breeze. Could be good Ranelagh conditions with a beat against the tide.

It does look like a SE wind. Does that mean starting on a run with a rising tide?

Yes it does Jon though we'll probably start the first (Vintage) race on a beat against the tide.
