Is the Merlin Class entering a team for the Battle of the Classes 2009 at the International Boat Show? Seems a good event to shine a light on the class. Rob Wilder and Joe McLaughlin won the team prize a couple of years ago so the class should have the potential to do well. http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/?article=144366 |
We need a volunteer to attend. It can be hard work, and the venue/facilities are not great for competitors. However, this is very important for class publicity. |
Hi everyone, totaly agree with what the previous posts say.Last year Andy Dalby did it in the general lee which people thought what an awesome looking boat, and there was some realy good feedback about the merlin fleet talking to other people around. |
We p*ssed it in right at the end of the race (after getting past the Phantom - who won). |
We have one entry confirmed but we are allowed a second boat on the water and indeed a third boat on dinghy display, all free of charge,...any volunteers? You'll get three free tickets, one each for helm and crew and one for your trolley dolly. |
I think its a maximum of 6 tickets per class, but I will check. |
