I was clearing out some old papers from my fathers desk and came across a 'first day of (stamp)issue' envelope. The theme of the stamps is sailing with four good stamps. Covering half the envelope is a nice drawing of merlin 2877 with spinnaker flying. The date of the envelope in 1975.

Is 2877 still around?

In the 1999 year book 2877 'Free Spirit' a Wyche and Coppock built Ghost Rider was shown as being owned by Martin Pearson, The Beach, Ferryside, Camarthenshire SA17 5SF tel 01267 267456. Might it be worth trying to make a contact there?

 I know this is an ancient post. 
I owned 2815 and used to race against 2877 in Ferryside.
I can only confirm the following.
2877 was sold after a few years.
It was still looking stunning when it was sold.
