Topic : should I come to looe?

Is there still a place for an ageing idiot? in Aunt Fanny
Does anyone have a spare bedspace in exchange for some folding beer vouchers.
And whats this about parking tickets?
Oh - and I will need a 7 stone crew, although Bell Junior's name has been mentioned by the Alsop.
Too many unknowns! but your comments would be welcome!

Yeah, go for it! Contact Alex or Andy, and they will have all the advice you need. It would be good to see those spare spaces used up!

If you don't come and have a week sailing on the Atlantic rollers have you got anything better to do for the week?

You know it makes sense.
Just think of all that fish! You know it makes sense, you will add decorum to what might otherwise seem a rather vulgar gathering.

Andrew I think you have the wrong coast...............

Looe is on the South not on the North Coast of Cornwall (nearest loo there is in Newquay!)

ps - has everyone applied for their Cornish Visa's and got their passports up to date? Oh and remember you have to pay to get out of Cornwall or is it to get back into England?

I could go on with the Devon vs Cornwall jokes but..........

you pay to come back to rip-off England on the Devon side of the Tamar

That's not fair on Dorset, Somerset and the rest of the UK the West Country is one major rip off with the locals often far from friendly except when they are taking your money! At least you are paying to get home Wales and the Severn Bridge is worse you pay to get into Wales?

Dot. (comment above)

Interesting you say that. I was at a 4 day horsey event at Bicton Park Arena (east devon) last week and talking to a hunt master who is now living in Kent having moved from his home county of Devon due to work said exactly the same thing! Iron fist in a velvet glove!

That aside, The Gurn you should go to the Nationals. Looe is a wonderful place set in beautiful scenery, magical sailing and from what I can see being extremely well organised.

Never pay anyway - plenty of free alternatives to cross the Tamar - try heading upstream.

We're friendly enough really but fed up with tourists, Can't just nip to the shop - queues and no parking, the lanes are full of townie drivers who haven't a clue and race up the middle as if it was one way and all the prices have gone up for the summer.

Dear Yokel,
If it were not for us bloody and in many cases reluctant visitors and incoming retirees second homers etc., you would not have a local economy. None the less lookinmg foreward to a week of fresh air and fun.

Well dot, want a lovely opinions you have of the West Country. Might I suggest you take your reluctant visitations to say Scotland(or outer Mongolia), I believe they too have ‘fresh air and fun’. I’m quite sure our local economy will survive quite admirably well without you!!!
