Morning all. So how are those sore legs and arms today. Going to take some time to recover after this weekend!
For those that braved the conditions at Shoreham on Saturday I hope you all enjoyed the ride, some great wave riding. For all those who understandably chickened out (yes you heard me ;-) on Sunday, you can see what it was like by viewing the Sunday photo gallery on Warwick's website below. It really was full on, yet incredibly only 1 capsize in the fleet while we were out there. We certainly all came back in with smiles on...
My thanks to Alan Chaplin our OOD, and the 30-40 strong club volunteers who helped out over the weekend.
With 26 entries, including 7 home boats the top 6 were:
1st - 3626 - Glen and Olly - 2 pts 2nd - 3683 - Tom and Liam - 3 pts 3rd - 3670 - Richard and Sally - 8 pts 4th - 3666 - Chris and Tom - 8 pts 5th - 3690 - Dobbie and Fran - 10 pts 6th - 3606 - Ross and Phil - 10 pts
Glen, I'll bring your prizes along to the champs, unless you prefer at another meeting?
Regards, Ross
PS 3606 is up for sale end of the season. Great time to get a good result in ay ;-) http://warwickpics.co.uk/Merphan.htm

Seriously classy picture, Andy. One of the best since Turtle's pic of Mark & Jane in Moondance Assassin at Abersoch in 98. Any chance of giving that another airing, Mags?
GGGGGGGG

Quote of the day had to have been Alan Warren. Before the start James Warren (crewing for his gramps) was shouting over to us saying it's just like "The Perfect Storm" - Alan simply said "Put the kite up James"
What can you say ... Alan is a complete legend.

Ross,
Prizes at the champs would be great.
Glad you all survived with boat in one piece!
Kind Regards
Glen

There are a couple of pics of Alan as well, covered in spray, neither the hat nor the kite anywhere to be seen!
It did look a tad breezy
