MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Design a spinnaker

If anyone is bored at work we have now added (thanks to Julian Harms initial design) a section on our website where you can design your own spinnaker. We would be grateful if people could try it out and provide us with some feedback before we think about introducing it for everyone.

If anyone has a moment please follow the link below, download the document (only takes a second) and have a go. As well as feedback, if anyone does come up with a design they like please feel free to send it to us, we can then store them or post them on the website for future reference / ideas.

Like i said, any feedback welcome.

Didn't work for me sorry to say - When I right click the whole spinnaker gets selected. When I change coloue then the whole thing changes - basically I can't select only one panel. It's a great idea though.

It has just worked for me, once I had found the Picture Toolbar. Seems like a good idea, with the only issue being if one wanted to have different shaped panels.

Now to win the Euro Lottery.

I just tried it and it worked for me. Right click the panel and the whole spinnaker becomes active but the specified panel has "hollow spots" around. Select Format Autoshape and then change the fill colour and just the panel changes - or at least it did for me.

I have uploaded it again so hopefully should work now. If not there is an identical version on the Scorpion page which was working earlier.

When you hover the cursor over the blank template you should see a cross underneath the cursor. Either mouse button should select the panel, the right mouse button brings up the menu.

The panel layout is based on our current design. If you did want to alter panel shape or have additional design within each panel then we would be happy to arrange this but it would be done on an individual basis.

If you double (left) click the panel it takes you straight through to the Format AutoShape option without having to go through the menu. (I'm just lazy!)
