A new award for next year's Champs: The Captain Ross's "Handlebar" Award for Comedy Facial Hair grown during the National Championships.

This award was inspired by Captain Ross's outstanding "Gringo" Tache at the fancy dress, and the fact that so many of the men away from their better halves (Dandy Alby... Drunken Flowerchild... etc.) have taken the chance to grow some truly awful chin moss. All entrants welcome...

It seems the gauntlet has been thrown down for someone to out do me in the impersonating “Earl” award. That was only 5 days growth, think what it would have looked liked after a few weeks (it even makes me shudder!) Photos on Facebook if you can stomach it ;-)
