From a 1990 defence presentation I attended - 'Our aim is to design a cockpit which can be operated by one man and his dog. The man's job will be to feed the dog, and the dog's job will be to bite the man if he tries to touch anything'.

I think we all deserve to have a photo of Megan (and indeed Dudley) somewhere in the photos section for those of us living so far away that we are unlikely to be introduced formally. In particular we need to know whether Megan is a "one design" or a "development" or "restricted" class of dog.

Is MROA membership incorporating an affiliation fee to the Kennel Club these days?

I think Buster is a kind of bull terrier. Ben would be able to confirm his pedigree better than I can.

I have a cat (sorry not a dog) who has a fetish for spinnakers and rolls about on them in a frenzy.

Buster is a British Bull Terrier and is soft as anything, Last time i saw him he was savaged by a sheep dog!!! I am sure he would make a great friend to any diserning bitch who may come along!!!

Remind me not to borrow any money from Katie. Sounds like Dudley has become a laundering service and the money could be a bit smelly !!

Sorry to bring things down to earth; just got my copy of the year book, can anyone tell me what the codes are for the design and builder in the Register of Boats.

For example, mine is 28vGW, now GW is obvious as I know the boat was built by Guy Winder, is there a table that will match the 28v to NSM4 ?

thanks....

there should be a reference table in the yearbook, on the page prior to the list of boats.

Whats with all the dog fettish role play that is creeping in.

I dont mind dogs.... (couldn't eat a whole one), but I am really puzzled by this behaviour

A psycologist would have a field day - enough material for an entire conference....

The only thing wrong with Dog is that the description of "Mans best friend" id that it sometimes gets spelled backwards.

I feel I must defend my canine friends with this:
DON'T CALL THEM DOG
Dogs don't cry or do confessions
though any dog, when mad, could bite.
They don't need analytic sessions,
cause if they're bad, they're not contrite.

Dogs don't lie or try to fool you,
if dogs feel good, they wag their tail.
Dogs can find each disguised virtue,
though their rapport is not for sale.

Dogs don't practice insinuation
never mock their friends or foes.
Dogs confer appreciation
with nuzzles of their cold, wet nose.

Dogs are always kind and gracious,
if they are shamed, they stay tongue-tied.
They never turn fallacious,
I've never known a dog that lied.

When your casting defamation,
the word 'dog' won't depict the cad.
Pick some different appellation
for those you curse when you are mad.

There once was a feisty young terrier,
Who liked to bite girls on the derrière.
He'd yip and he'd yap,
Then he'd leap up and snap;
And the fairer the derrière, the merrier.
