Topic : Cover for MK XII

I need a new boom up cover for my 1962 Chippendale MK XII. I'd welcome any information about potential suppliers.

I'm going to make my own as there's no "standard" size. Fabric and fittings from Point North (see link)

Try Waveloft - reasonable price and custom made.

As a matter of interest what material do you use Pat for the cover and under cover - it's not clear from the site. Thanks Garry

I've just had one made to measure from trident-uk, perfect fit and the price was right. They send you a form, you just fill in the measurements - had it within 4 days.

I can make a cover for your boat if you like... just drop the boat off to the loft and I'll make to fit

Laurie Smart got an an excellent cover for my NSM II from Vellas out in Brentwood/Billericay last year when he was refurbishing her. I can't remember whether he said they still had patterns for some older boats or whether they made it from measurements he gave them, but it may be worth giving them a ring.

Bought one from Goldfinch Covers about 5 years ago, very pleased with it, competitively priced and it has proper lacing rather than short life velcro. Not sure if they are still trading: website shows 2005 prices.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my question about a cover. I decided to buy it from Waveloft partly because Mark Basham of that company used to sail M/Rs on the River Blackwater
