A very enjoyable week, thanks to everyone at Salcombe YC and in the Merlin association who put the effort in to organising a great week.  Also thanks to many of you for your advice in how to set the boat up and how to do the basic things like rig the kite and then get it up and down and round the corners.  Following the advice we got more proficient and certainly less scared of the beast as the week went on.  

It was a regatta that I have wanted to do for a number of years and it was certainly worth waiting for.

Well done John, I watched your transition from 12 to Merlin with interest, showed that an original Satisfaction can still show the new machines that its not just the boat. Glad you enjoyed it, next is to do a little more and maybe even move up. Well done.

A good week by all accounts. I've been following your progress as well as Tom's, Antony/Fran with interest. A great result - it's sometimes very rewarding to sail an older boat at Salcombe! Dave
