Magazine is fantastic as usual. Where can I get a rig tension guage as shown on Rowsell Sails advert?

Why not try Rowsell Sails sine they advertise one!

The trouble with guages like the Rowsell one is that eventually the spring loses its temper (?!), the guage becomes slack and then your rigging goes all floppy.

Then buy a new one!

Choose your gauge wisely.

Why do you need one?
If you move your rig at least once in the race you would need to get the guage out, go head to wind and re-measure before setting off up the beat again? If you need to make sure you can get enough on, just borrow one for an afternoon whilst you set your rig up.
See - that's seventy quid you can put towards a new sail.......
