Hoping to pick up both boats from Winder this weekend, ready for the double weekend. Bit of a challenge finding a member prepared to take the full team, with 4 sailors, 2 support team and a dog - but if you know anyone with a mansion in Egbaston, let us know.

You had the last practice. Now find your way to the weekend. Dont be bashful.

Weather looks like it.
There will be no traffic
Easy to get to venues
Countryside/Cityside vistas
Canal side experiences
Cows, pigs and donkeys in both places
There will be racing fun at the Midland Club on Saturday night.

Steve, I'm not sure what you're trying to say about Cows, Pigs & Donkeys?

Perhaps your observations cou;d be reserved for the Birmingham end of the operation?

No pigs, cows or donkeys amongst the prizes at Banbury on Saturday - they don't have these on farms any more BUT there are lots of other prizes for all ages of boats.

Prizes for first three places plus as an encouragement to the club sailor, a prize for the best placed Prime of Life boat (more than 10 years old and less than 20 - this year 3535 ) and for first Mature boat (more than 20 years old - this year 3377).

Entry fee: £10 per boat. Food: £5 per person. Coffee & tea all day plus excellent lunch with puddings guaranteed to add ballast for the afternoon and lots of cake for tea.

All we now need is for spring to arrive!

The weather gnomes are promising double figure temperatures for the weekend and currently southerly winds of around 10mph with gusts to 25mph.

Sounds good but it all could change!
