Topic : Richard Mossip

The older amongst you will remember Richard Mossip who was my first proper crew in Merlin Rockets 1962-4.
Sadly Richard died of bowel cancer a short while ago after a brave fight. He was latterly a Professor and Dean of an East Coast of the United States University where he and his wife Caroline moved in 1966. It's been that sort of a year sadly. Caroline has had a rough time their daughter was kiled in a car crash a few years back too.

Hello David,

Sad news. I remember Richard well.
Hard to imagine him as a professor though. I suppose we were all young and full of unfulfilled ambition in those days.
I recall he had quite a lot of suffering crewing for you too!

Most crews suffered before wet and dry suits!
