Topic : Question Time

Have a guess how many times Ross threw up whilst crewing me on Sunday at Shoreham?

Please split up answers into the following sections :-

A) Sailing out before the race
B) During our (v short race for us before giving up the will to live!)
C) Sailing back in

The winner gets one of Ross's special sailing bags!

Serves him right for drinking out of a wet glass. I'll guess at two, two and one.

OK and the results are...

.. drumrole please ... brr brr brr brr

* 3 times before the race.

* 2 times during the race (Helm could only cope with 1 triangle, 1 sausage before calling it a day!)

* 3 times coming in.

That totals 8. A pretty 'gutsy' sailing performance n'est pas!

Twinkster - you came closest with your guess. Ross will be sending you one of his special sailing sick bags in the post shortly.

How lucky are you!!

Your're all b*rstards, had to give up last race at Whitstable too. Not fair, I even took sea sick tablet in the morning as knew I was crewing :( At least the water at Salcombe is flat!

See you there Friday in the Fort.

PS it's not easy being a Ross

There is no shame in being sea sick (I think that people who never get sea sick have a worse sense of balance or something so they are actually weaker!)

I didn't feel too good after the Saturday race at Whitstable so was fortunate the second race was cancelled - frankly sailing such a new Merlin I was surprised there was no string to pull to stabalise the boat in such conditions!

Brian, The bit of string to stabilise the boat is led from the boom via the mainsheet jammer.

If you pull it hard enough for long enough the boat will become very stable indeed, albeit not upright!
