Anyone else noticed the "Script timed out" message on the forum recently, when it fails to load? Is it becoming a problem? How many times do you see it a week?
I may have to do some investigation...

I don't know if this is relevent I tend towards "Mrs" Michel Winner in my technical appreciation, but the site does occasionaly "hang" I had put it down to a busy server I guess that were it a mega international corporation a more powerful server would be in order? But the MR Class is not and it does work and is a fine site well designed, easy to navigate and well maintained. What more could any sailing class want?

I've just had a report from www.Internetseer.com that my own web site was not responding at 10.57 tonight but at 11.04 it's fine. They usually send me an email when it's working again but although it's now OK, still no message. I think site can be unavailable for a lot of reasons, not always to do with the server. Nick

Increase the ASP Script Timeout in IIS Manager located -
Web site Properties Home Directory Configuration App Options ASP Script Timeout
Hope that helps

Yeah, I can alter it on the individual pages too, but I sense thats not the solution, as its normally OK. Either the servers have gone potty, or the forum database is getting too fat.

All topics older than 6 months have been mercilessly culled (got a backup though). See if it makes things any better - please keep me informed of number of problems per week if it still happens. Ta.
