Topic : Basic Merlin set up guide

I have recently purchased my first merlin, an NSM2 {FRP} and was wondering if there is any written info on basic set up etc. I have sailed a Firefly in the past and obviously these have a far more basic rig and set up.

Tom, where are you based?

There isn't really a basic set up guide as for instance there is with boats like GP14's as there are so many different variations in Merlins.

As I have, currently, a FRP NSM2 perhaps I could give some guidance.

What is you sail number?

I am in Yorkshire, The boat is 3500. She is still in the garage, I am taking her to the local club next weekend. The initial rigging of her wont be a problem, I just wondered if there was any basic rule of thumb other than common logic as to mast rake etc. Once I sail her I am sure I will have 101 questions for you kind chaps to answer!
