Topic : Jeremy Kearns

It has to be one of my sadest days to tell everyone that Jeremy passed away yesterday,  not only was he a great friend but a great, great crew and he will be missed,

Jeremy and I grew up together and we had been sailing for 47 years together,  not only in merlins but all types of sailing craft ,but  my thoughts are with Cathrine and Harry .

I heard the sad, sad news about Jeremy this morning.

I knew Jeremy for around forty years. In 1980 we sailed together at Salcombe Week and the Championships, we didn't win anything but he was a great companion and we had lots of fun.

In more recent times I met Jeremy, Catherine and Harry every year at Bourne End Week where he crewed for Martin in his Rater. He was unable to go there this year.

I've lost a good friend but Catherine and Harry have lost a husband and father and I feel very sad for them.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Jeremy was one of the nicest, engaging and jolliest men we have ever had the pleasure to meet. Our thoughts are with his family.

I remember Jeremy and his sister Penny, Mum and Dad from the 70s in Hampton. The sailing club was a fun place and he was always at the heart of the fun. Lovely guy. My condolences to his family.
