Topic : Tall Rig for MkXII Merlin

I'm pleased to say I've found an old MK XII. The aim is to join in the fun and compete in the events like CRSC and UTSC. It'll take some time to renovate and revarnish etc., so no great hurry - but the sails have had it. Is anyone upgrading their river boat rig or has anyone got a reasonable tall rig spare that's taking up valuable space?

I'm happy with a reasonable hog stepped alloy mast, but, has anyone got any suggestions for damaged/older Carbon masts/booms. How repairable are they? What other classes have suitable sections that could be used? Any ideas?

If you are lucky enough to find a decent XII why not keep it as close to original as possible?

Standard rig well sailed will do very nicely inland and on the river!

This will allow you to put some decent or new rags on it which will make more difference to your performance than any amount of carbon.
