Topic : Chichester Snow Flake Series

I can't find much detail about the Snowfake series at Chichester YC, but from results pages see Merlins enter in fair numbers.

Is it possible to pay as and when you visit or is it a fee for the full series ?

Can boats be left at the club if doing the full series?

In previous years either pay as you go or full series payment, you have to pay harbour dues too, that also is pay on the day or full series, obviously full series is cheaper (harbour and entry). Also you can pay (last year I think £15) to leave the boat at the club

there is also the Hayling Open Autumn series 6th October to 16th December on Saturdays and Sundays so you could always dothe Saturday at Hayling and nip across to the Chi Snowflake on Sundays if you were really keen.

Not as many merlins at the Chichester Snowflake but 3 resident merlins and sometimes 4.

As I have a flat on the Island, Thinking about doing the Hayling Open Autum Series in preference to the Snowflake. Do Merlin sailors race on the Saturday or the Sunday?, my preference is Sunday. How many will be sailing ?, I need some Coaching as opposed to watching the hot Merlins disappear over the horizon !!! Can we leave boats in the compound for the series ? Alternatively will any Merlins be at QMSC for the winter membership? Rein what are your plans?

Thanks

hi Rod

We tend to do Saturdays, GGGGGG often does both and John Rees does a bit of both. Judith has made some spectacular appearances but you have to be quick to keep sight of her !!

Hi Minx,

We were at the Tide Ride this week end and the club confirmed we may leave the boat rigged for the open autumn series although its not a full membership deal. A we seem to spend all of our time packing and transporting boats its clicnhed it , we intend to sail Sundays.
