I noticed that Phil Morrison appears in the Design Guide as the designer of the Smoker's Satisfaction. I have just picked up a Smokers, which was built by Keith Probert. Was Keith involved in boat design, or is/was he solely involved in building? CAn anyone enlighten me?

The smoker was designed by Phil Morrison who sold a set od plans to Keith Probert, as well as lots of other builders amateur and professional.

Keith built some very strong boats, probably his most famous was Moriarty, owned once by one P E King. Keith never designed any merlins himself.

I once owned 2837 Bath Bun, a Smokers built by Keith Probert. Nice boat it was too.

How many other people owned Bath Bun? Wasn't she originally a "Toad"? Has any other Merlin had so many owners?

Cinders,
you are quite right. 'Toad' she was, albeit when I owned her she already had the name Bath Bun.
