Talking about the best sailing reaches on the river..... 
Sunday will be your chance to sail on the tidal Thames for the last race of the 2006 river series. Start is at 11.30 and we will need to be off the river by 13.30 when it becomes closed for a major rowing race, the Veterans Fours Head. There are no parking restrictions but it would be good if you could move your cars and trailers away from the hard once you have unloaded boats and take particular care not to obstruct rowers access to the water. Their race doesn't start till 14.30 but they will be going afloat as we finish. Vintage boats welcome, let me know if you have any questions. Club will be open from 9.30 with free tea and biscuits, lunch and bar (not free) will be open after. Current forecast is to 13 to 17 MPH and sun.
