Topic : centre board angle!

I am doing some work to my Rowsell NSM4 and I have found that when the centre board is fully down the leading edge goes about 10 degrees past vertical, also the board does not fully retract meaning the bottom of the leading edge has been chewed by the trolley. Do I have the wrong board? Is it pivoted in the wrong place? any thoughts?

It may or may not be an issue that the board cants forward, in later designs, the case has been moved forward to improve upwind performance...

However, it is a class rule that the board must not project below the keel when fully in the case - so I guess your board has been changed from the original one. You may be able to adjust the pivot point, but you may also have to get the jigsaw out to reprofile the top of the board to get it into the case.

Deep joy!

Hasn't Steve Watson got a board for sale?

If you have a dagged up board that needs sorting out give Paintcraft a call, they're really rather clever!
