Hollingworth Lake would like to invite all Merlin sailors, whether they be modern, classic or prime of life to its traditional Felucca Trophy Silver Tiller event on the weekend of 11th/12th October. For the sum of just £25.00 all entrants will receive free tea/coffee, Saturday tea and Sunday lunch. The traditional Saturday evening 3 course dinner is charged separately. Why not treat yourself to a weekend in the Northern hills at the home of the Current National Champion, Silver Tiller Holder and Salcombe week winner, and if that doesn't entice you, we have hand pulled beer at £2.00 a pint! With Ranelagh unfortunately having no wind and subsequently being cancelled this makes Hollingworth the last available chance for any hopeful ST qualifiers who haven't got a restricted event within their scores to include one! There is plenty of local accommodation and I'm please to say the evening meal menu has been sorted. Starter: Prawn Cocktail Main: Coq au vin Deserts: No doubt something with ice cream! We even stock Doom Bar now!

Hi John, Probably a tad too rotund to get thru one now I fear although I do remember jumping off the bridge roof of HMS Kent (about 40ft up) after sundowners whilst at anchor off Capri! Most of the Wardroom followed suit. But that was last century when the ships were made of oak and the men were made of steel.
