MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Dinghy Show

Looking at weather ferries from IOW may not
Be working again. I would like to keep up with layout
Developments and would be very grateful if someone
Could take a portfolio of the MR layouts and
Developments attaching tech notes wherever possible
I believe this will be useful to a number of M/ R
Sailors who cannot get to Show

Hi Guys,
I can help with this.
Is it internal layout pictures you’d like?
Let me know and I will try to sort.

That would be great, yes internal photos and rig
would be great.
It appears other members may be additionally
interested thus I will state "the perfect world"
Photos are taken and possibly owner/builder
Will add descriptive notes.
The easiest way of distributing a number of
high quality photos is via Dropbox.

Hi Colin,

Is there anything specific you are interested in, as that can be focused on quite easily?

It appears their may be a number of people
that would like technical photos.
If a kind member would be happy to take photos
I have reqd. Software to overlay with descriptive
notes and submit to the Galley section
I can transpose from scribbled notes containing
what control function and end purchase.
Thank you everyone for your interest and
offers of assistance.

Thank you
Colin

Well done everyone for organising, making the stand and for lending boats, great to chat with Dave Winder and John Fildes about new boats, brilliant to see the new innovations, jib tracks, pole launchers, no pole launcher, masts, booms and wiggley traveller pole things. Difference in shapes and sizes foils and sails..
We have a quality new null builder in John Fildes and a a very talented new mast builder in Thomas Wilkes Ceilidh Masts.

exciting times increasing our options

Hello, those that were lucky enough to get to dinghy show
In this extroudinary time when we can't enjoy a
pint at yacht club perhaps the Merlin photos
could be assembled and made available
A good time to update rigs etc. perhaps looking positive
when normal times return a few more older boats
Will want to make up for lost time, celebrate
and support a few Silver Tillers
Look forward to seeing photos
Thanks Colin
