I've downloaded Keith Callaghan's excellent twin pole launching diagram for "Musketeer" and would like to seek some views from users on two items:
1. The pole has a small block inside which draws the line with the ring on it to the end of the pole and is intended to reduce the launch line length. Does this add a lot more friction to the launch system and complexity compared with the single launch line passing through the length of the pole?
2. Apart from cost at there any other benefits using a simple block attached to the spinnaker pole ring on the mast over the standard pole systems available.
I'm seeking to have the minimum friction/easiest launching pole system for "strength challenged" crews.
Any help gratefully received.
