Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully you read the Y&Y post about the Allen SE Series sponsorship. Just in case you missed it, were thrilled to announce the sponsorship by HD Sails, GK Engineering and Langley Construction Consultants to provide a new HD jib to a lucky SE Series entrant at the end of the season. All you have to do to qualify is enter the SE Series events! For every entry you will get two tickets per boat (on each for the helm and crew), so if you do all 5 events you will get 10 tickets for your boat. At the prizegiving and social at Stone SC at the end of the season we will draw a ticket from the hat and.........bingo.......Taxi will make you a brand new jib...... is if you didnt have enough reasons already to come to the SE Series. Please pass the word..... and have fun at South Cerney this weekend. See you at Wembley on Sunday 19th

See below the Weblink to enter Wembley:

Hi All. So the forecast is a Westerly. This means a beat towards the dam wall at the clubhouse end of the Harp, giving us a near mile long beat - perfect.

Message from WSC - please can you register online if possible. It will save you time on the day and helps our caterer. Also, please could you bring cash if you intend to pay on the day or have a drink at the bar - the card readers are playing up and you will find cash quicker.

Apart from that Wembley are ready for its guests. And the showers work again since the new boiler was installed a few months ago ....bonus!!

See you Sunday. 1045 briefing; 1130 start.

Hi Everyone, time files and next up on the Allen SE Circuit is Fishers Green SCs Open on 7th May.

Info can be found on the Allen SE Series Whatsapp Group - please join using the link in earlier messages below.

Some key points to note:

Start 11am - three races back to back.

Entry fee £15; hot food can be purchased at their excellent galley.

Fishers Green is a brilliant friendly place to sail and they cant wait to welcome us all there.

There will be spot prizes, close racing and a fun atmosphere following the sucessful format of round 1 at Wembley.

The current leaders in the SE Team trophy are Fishers Green SC - so please come and bring three boats and lets try to wipe the smiles off their faces :-)

Link to SIs and info about the lake at https://www.fishersgreensc.org.uk/

What better way to celebrate the coronation weekend than a sail at one of the hidden crown jewels of the UK dinghy sailing scene! See you all there.

Hi Everyone - for those who arent on the SE Whatsapp group, just a final call for Fishers Green this Sunday 7th May.

Forecast looks good, the club are ready and a large home fleet is expected. So far I know of 17 boats that are planning to attend. Its going to be great. There is no Silver Tiller event this weekend .....so what else are you going to? Come and pledge your allegience to the Merlin Rocket class!

Link to online entry, but you can also pay on the day: Fishers Entry Link

11am Start.

THEN - THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND:

Its the Allen SE Round 3 on Sunday 14th May - our first event on the waves. Remember you need at least one wavey event to qualify for the Allen SE series. Its combined with a Silver Tiller event on 13 and 14th but you can enter for Sunday 14th only for the Allen SE event if you want. I know a lot of SE Runners and Riders are doing both days.

Brighlingsea is a great club and always puts on a great event. All the usual Allen SE Series spot prizes and friendly competitive sailing on the East Coast; its going to be one of the highlights of the year and the first chance some of the SE pondies will get to test their metal over the hurdles.

£45 for the two day Silver Tiller; £25 for the Sunday Allen SE event only. ENTRY CLOSES ON FRIDAY 12TH MAY FOR BOTH

Link to online entry page where you can select the ST or the Allen SE event: Brightlingsea SC Online Entry

Any questions on either please DM me via the SE Whatsapp group.

Final reminder about the jib raffle sponsorship. HD Sails, GK Engineering and Langley Construction Consultants have generously sponsored a jib as a prize for SE competitors. To qualify you must:

- Qualify for the Allen SE Series 3 of 5 to count (one must be a wavey event - i.e. Brightlingsea or Stone)

- Attend the Prizegiving and Social at Stone SC on Saturday 14 Oct

- you get a ticket for each event you attended entered into the hat.

- bingo - you might get a new jib ready for next season!

See you all on the water.

Hi All,

As you know Brightlingseas SE Series event didnt happen due to lack of wind. Luckily Shoreham SC have kindly stepped in to fill the void on Sunday 18th June. There is a two day Silver Tiller on 17/18 June but Allen SE Circuit competitors can pay for entry for the Sunday only. This will count as one of your Allen SE Series Wavey events you will need to qualify. Please note this has not yet been updated on the MROA Fixtures Calendar, but trust me - its happening and i will be there with all the Allen banners, spot prizes etc

Its been re-arranged hastily and not sure SSC have updated their NOR but please dont let any of that stop you. Its on!!! I look forward to seeing you there and dont forget the link to the SE Series Whatsapp Group where all the latest info is.

Bump....10.25 start for the next Allen SE Series event this Sunday at Shoreham. The whole weekend is a ST event (see other posts on here) but if, like me, you cant make Saturday then you can enter for Sunday only and the rescheduled Round 3 of the Allen SE Series.
