Just wanted to thank Salcombe YC for their efforts not only this morning but in the run up to the draw, which wasn’t easy.
GCS’ face said it all and it was that that made me saddest, not that I find myself on the waiting list.

As an "independent" observer at the ballot I want to reassure everyone that the SYC 2019 ballot process was done in a totally fair and scrupulous way. The whole process was very tense, however Graham and Fiona  Cranford Smith and Martin and Pam Smout did a very difficult task very well.  kind regards malcolm
 
 

How can we find the results?

They were drawn at 10am and shown live on Facebook on the SYC page. This can still be viewed. 
GCS is updating the spreadsheet this afternoon which will be on the SYC website. 

I hope there will be a few dropouts in coming days for cases where family or helm/crew partnerships each had an accepted entry. Looks like I'm on the waiting list for now

I don’t think there are many of those if any - certainly not 55 of them!!

At the end of the day it’s a shame that so many regulars are missing out, but someone has to occupy the waiting list and someone, unfortunately, will not be able to go.

Why not come to Looe instead?

Gutted to be missing it (well down on the waiting list) but at least the draw was a fair process for all. I doubt there will be 30+ dropouts ☹️

Thank you to Salcombe YC, Graham and the team for the effort they have put into the process and the agonising that must have taken place when considering what must have been a long list of options none of which could satisfy everyone.
 
Now to lose 3 stone and justify my success in the draw!
