Just had my renewal from Bishops Skinner - premium up from £208 to £480. Haven't had a claim for years. Apparently the uplift is due to the insurers providing a new dinghy rating guide. Anyone else had a similar increase, and where best to go now?

Craftinsure!! . very reasonable premiums. Recent claim dealt with brilliantly. Bent over backwards to get me back on the water with minimum fuss. Very impressed.

Blimey I think BS/Bluefin are going to lose a lot of customers! My renewal went from £152 to £376 and I've not had a claim in 10 years. Craftinsure was £125/£145 depending on excess amount. Are Craftinsure new for old if you break your rig and not repairable?

My insurance isn't due til next year but I wonder did anyone challenge Bluefin? seems an excessive hike.
